Bulk Water Transport, Transfer, and Pumping Solutions
As a Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)-Certified bulk water hauler, WTI is capable of not only transporting a compliant tanker to your facility, but also transferring that water into your system. Based on your facility’s parameters and your specific requirements, we can engineer a pumping solution that brings clean, safe drinking water into your system.
From a simple water transfer into a depleted water tower, to providing temporary water supply after a water main break, we provide the equipment, materials, documentation, and know-how to ensure a 100% compliant solution.
Emergency Response
When water is transferred from one municipal water supply into another, the PA DEP must vet the system in need, as well as the new supply system, before issuing an emergency permit. In an emergency scenario with potentially significant water loss, we can respond quickly with a compatible, DEP-certified solution to minimize disruption, prevent facilities from being shut down, and avoid the displacement of residents and/or employees.
Emergency Preparedness Planning
There are very few true emergencies. In most cases, mismanaged situations simply get out of hand. Let’s work together to develop a comprehensive plan based on a deep understanding of your facility and drinking water system.
With emergency preparedness planning, there will be no confusion about who will provide transport services, what the source of water will be, how much water you need, what type of vehicle can access your system, where and how your system will be accessed, what types of pumps and equipment will be required, etc. This will end the “fire drill” mentality in an emergency and dramatically reduce the risk of service disruption.
Scheduled Outages
When an entire facility or individual components of your drinking water system must be taken offline, we can provide a temporary drinking water supply to fill the gap while the project is completed. For example, a non-emergency, scheduled outage often involves the repair, replacement, or maintenance of a well pump or distribution equipment.
Whether you need a temporary water supply for a few days or more than a year, the WTI team can engineer and implement a PA DEP-certified solution that satisfies the demands and requirements of your system with an adequate supply of clean, safe water.
